Learn and practice new skills in how to identify and work with common problem areas such as:
differences in communication styles  -  the basics of how we express ourselves and listen to others
mismatched agendas  -  how “what we were talking about” becomes lost when attention to content overshadows attention to each other
ways in which we impact one another  -  how to shift  from hurting and being hurt to identifying and sharing feelings
boundary issues  -  how to  express personal concerns and needs in ways that lead to understanding and empathy
sharing personal issues  -  how to find common experience and support when discussing issues such as depression, anxiety, loss, anger, shame, low self esteem and family of origin issues
Presented in a facilitated setting with an emphasis on safety and confidentiality.  Participants will learn to listen to others and express themselves in new ways that enhance empathy, reciprocity, personal meaningfulness, and healing of old wounds.
